We source most of our raw materials directly from the grower & processor “El Malek C.” in Egypt. We share a close, family relationship with El Malek, based on trust and an excellent partnership spanning more than 20 years.

Mr Ayman Abdelgawad is managing director of Kräutertempel GmbH and also co-owner of El Malek C. in Egypt – a family-run company with a history of more than 50 years in herbs, seeds & spices. El Malek C. stands out with excellent expertise & a unique network in the cultivation & sourcing of raw materials as well as in production at origin in Egypt

Farms in Egypt
El Malek C. farms more than 300 ha of its own land and also works with various farms in Egypt. These long-term, reliable partnerships ensure a constant supply of raw materials.
Most of the farms are organic-certified.
Production in Egypt
El Malek C. produces the herbs, spices and seeds in its own production facility in Tamiah.
A new production site with modern equipment is currently being built in Kom Oshim and is scheduled to start operating in 2027.
Our supplier El Malek C. produces the dried onions, garlic and leek in organic and conventional quality at a modern processing plant in the El Fayoum area. If required, production can be carried out under contract at another certified, long-standing partner.
The production facilities work to European quality and hygiene standards and use machinery from renowned European and German manufacturers.
